PAVE’s 16th Annual Gala held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York drew a record-breaking number of attendees and sponsorships. This year, the event raised $150,000, a record amount that will enable PAVE to continue its support of retail design education.
Additionally, during the awards presentation, PAVE recognized the winners of the 18th Annual Student Design Competition, sponsored by B&N Industries, awarding $27,000 in grants to students and schools. Eleven student winners and three educators attended the event.
PAVE also showcased young talent via a Kara Laricks-inspired student project. Mannequins scattered throughout the space featured apparel and/or accessories created from repurposed materials by students from the Fashion Institute of Technology (New York), Radford University (Virginia), and the TAFE NSW Sydney Institute and The Gordon (both in Australia).
