Target to Remodel Detroit-Area Stores
January 29, 2013
Minneapolis-based Target Corp. is introducing a new layout in its stores in the Detroit area. Remodeled stores will include approximately 10,000 sq. ft. dedicated to grocery, as well as improvements in several other departments, such as beauty, home, shoes and baby. In the beauty aisles, guests will experience a more visual environment. The home department will offer easier navigation with wider aisles and lower product displays. The shoe department will feature additional seating and mirrors, and the baby department will offer broader visibility between baby gear, supplies and apparel. The company expects the remodels to be complete by March 24 at its Michigan locations in Rochester, Canton, Clinton Pointe, Livonia, Walled Lake, Auburn Hills, Troy, Allen Park and Southfield. Target also is remodeling locations in several other markets across the country, including Cleveland, San Antonio and Las Vegas.
