RDI Announces Store Design Award Winners

The Retail Design Institute's (RDI) 42nd International Store Design Awards Gala took place on Jan. 14 at the Times Center Stage in New York, where the top store designs from 2012 were recognized. The Store of the Year 2012 was awarded to Mistral Wine Store, designed by Studio Arthur Casas.

Additional stores recognized for their outstanding achievements with first places included:

Several retail projects also were awarded the special "Innovation" award, including Mistral Wine Store by Studio Arthur Casas for Innovation; Joe Fresh 510 Fifth Avenue NYC Flagship by Burdifilek for Lighting Design; New Balance Boston by New Balance for Finishes, Color & Materials; MyBurger Reinvention by Fame for Signage/Graphics; Liverpool Interlomas Department Store by FRCH Design Worldwide for Store Planning; and Engelbert Strauss Workwear Store by plajer & franz studio gbr for Visual Merchandising. Colour with Asian Paints by FITCH (Singapore), AT&T Michigan Avenue Flagship Store by Callison and Mistral Wine Store by Studio Arthur Casas all won for Innovative Sales Technology.
