Gucci Opens First Rio de Janeiro Store

Gucci has opened its first store in Rio de Janeiro, according to www.wwd.com. The new 3,498-sq.-ft. shop, which marks the retailer’s fifth store in Brazil, is located in the Village Mall, and features a range of women’s and men’s accessories, as well as the Gucci children’s collection. Designed by Frida Giannini, Gucci’s creative director, the store boasts luxurious materials, such as marble and rosewood, geometric lines, and materials and accents indigenous to Brazil.
