American Eagle Continues Global Growth Strategy

Pittsburgh-based American Eagle Outfitters Inc. has exited its agreement with Dickson Concepts International Ltd. and will assume operation of six stores in China. The termination of the agreement is part of the retailer’s long-term global expansion strategy and focus on this market. American Eagle also will be opening company-owned stores in Mexico and licensed stores in the Philippines beginning this month, and has licensed stores in Japan, Russia, Eastern Europe, Israel and the Middle East. Currently, the retailer has an international presence in 13 countries and ships online to 77 countries.
