7-Eleven Expanding Urban Concept in Miami
December 21, 2012
Dallas-based 7-Eleven Inc. is opening urban prototype stores across downtown Miami, according to Convenience Store News. Most recently, the retailer opened one of the new, small-format stores on Biscayne Boulevard, and another is under construction in South Beach. The concept stores average 1,800 sq. ft. and feature a sophisticated design, with discreet signage, butcher-shop-style tiles or wood on the interior walls and architectural pendant lights. The stores place an emphasis on fresh and grab-and-go foods aimed at downtown residents and workers. 7-Eleven also operates these concept stores in other major cities, including New York and Chicago.
