Staples Begins Corporate Express Layoffs

Framingham, Mass.-based Staples Inc. has begun laying off employees at its Corporate Express division, which it acquired in May in a $2.7 billion deal, according to Rockymountainnews.com. As Staples continues to integrate the two companies' operations, the layoffs will span both divisions. Paul Capelli, a spokesman for Staples, said there is not yet an exact number of layoffs or affected locations.
