Abercrombie to Launch Store in Paris
November 18, 2008
New Albany, Ohio-based Abercrombie & Fitch Co. said it has received approval to open a store on Paris' famous avenue Champs Elysees, according to the Business First of Columbus. The store is expected to open in 2011. About three years ago, A&F debuted its first non-U.S. stores in the Canadian cities of Toronto and Edmonton. The chain then expanded overseas last year with a store in London, followed by its first European Hollister Co. store in the London suburbs last month. A&F said it is "on track to open stores around the world next year, including debuts of its namesake stores in Copenhagen and Tokyo along with Abercrombie & Fitch and Abercrombie stores in Milan."
