H&M to Open Three Stores in Seattle
May 05, 2008

Stockholm, Sweden-based Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) announced plans to open three new stores in Seattle, with more stores to open in the future, according to the Seattle Times. "I don't think we'll stop with three," said Lisa Sandberg, New York-based spokeswoman for H&M. "There's definitely room for expansion." The new stores will include 25,000 sq. ft. at Southcenter mall, scheduled to open summer 2008; 16,000 sq. ft. at the Westfield Shoppingtown Southcenter, and 19,000 sq. ft. in the University Village--both set to open during fall 2008. According to H&M, the Southcenter location will feature clothing and accessories for women, men, teens and children; while the other two stores will focus only on a few departments. In addition, the company plans to open a store in Vancouver, British Columbia, on May 22, 2008. H&M operates 148 stores throughout the United States
