Global Hyatt to Open New Hotel in George, South Africa

Chicago-based Global Hyatt Corp. announced plans to open its newest Hyatt hotel in George, South Africa in early 2010. The 100-room Hyatt Regency Oubaai will be the company's second South African hotel, and will be part of the Oubaai Golf and Lifestyle Centre, consisting of residential villas, apartments and a shopping center. The new hotel will be designed by South Africa-based Quadtvisir Architects and Johannesburg, South Africa-based interior designer Lionel Levin. Global Hyatt operates more than 730 properties in 45 countries.
