Nordstrom Rack to Open in Southlake, Texas

Seattle-based Nordstrom Inc. announced it will open a 35,000-sq.-ft. Nordstrom Rack, a unit of the company's off-price retail division, at the Shops of Southlake in Southlake, Texas, in fall 2009. This will be the retailer's third Nordstrom Rack in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area, and its fourth in Texas. Nordstrom currently operates a Rack store at Preston Shepard Place in Plano, and a new Nordstrom Rack will open at Park Lane in Dallas in spring 2009. The company will also open a new Nordstrom Rack at The Rim in San Antonio in November. Nordstrom also operates seven full-line stores in Texas, with four located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
