PAVE Announces 2009 Student Design Competition Winners
November 20, 2009
Hollywood, Fla.-based The Planning and Visual Education Partnership (PAVE) announced the winners of its 2009 Student Design Competition. Macy's sponsored this year's competition, which was geared toward college-level students involved in retail planning, visual merchandising, interior design and branding programs. This year's winners faced a competitive field--373 entries were submitted, 238 in the overall store design category and 135 in the visual merchandising category. The 2009 competition challenged students to develop concepts in line with Macy's branding, product lines and retail stores. The competition's design challenges consisted of a visual merchandising category focusing on jewelry and a store design category focusing on women's shoes. Judging took place Nov. 11, at Macy's executive offices in New York.
