S&K Menswear Closing All 105 Stores
May 22, 2009
Richmond, Va.-based S&K Menswear is closing all 105 of its stores across 26 states. A storewide going-out-of-business sale began on May 21, and will last until all merchandise is sold. "In spite of our best efforts, the current economic climate left us with no choice but to close down the business," said Jonathan Tibus, chief restructuring officer at S&K Menswear. Gordon Brothers Group, a global advisory, restructuring and investment firm specializing in the retail, consumer products, real estate and industrial sectors, is running the going-out-of-business sale on S&K Menswear's behalf. The retailer will continue to honor existing S&K gift cards throughout the sale.
