Pep Boys Announces Senior Management Changes

Philadelphia-based The Pep Boys announced the appointment of Mike Odell, COO, as interim CEO. The announcement comes after CEO Jeff Rachor resigned. Odell has been with the company since September 2007, and previously worked for Hoffman Estates, Ill.-based Sears Holding Corp. According to the company, Odell is a prime candidate for the permanent CEO position, and it has no plans for a recruitment search. In addition, Pep Boys appointed Ray Arthur as executive vice president and CFO, effective April 28, 2008. Arthur previously served as executive vice president and CFO for Wayne, N.J.-based Toys "R" Us Inc.
