Finish Line to Quit Man Alive Business
June 23, 2009
Indianapolis-based The Finish Line Inc. is parting ways with Man Alive Acquisition LLC due to a lack of profit, according to a report from Forbes.com. The sporting goods retailer has said that it will purchase various Man Alive assets and liabilities for $7 million. Stifel Nicolaus & Co. analyst Thomas Show believes that by exiting the underperforming business, Finish Line may perform better in the stock market. The Man Alive business, operated by Jimmy Khezrie, owner of Jimmy Jazz stores, offers street wear apparel and accessories from designer brands including Ed Hardy and Affliction.
