Wal-Mart Opens Hispanic Community Store in Garland, Texas

Bentonville, Ark.-based Wal-Mart Stores Inc. announced the opening of its first Hispanic community store in Garland, Texas, according to the Dallas News. The store will be located at 1801 Marketplace Dr., and will replace the existing Wal-Mart location on Garland Avenue. The new store features a juice bar, ice cream shop, expanded paint, garden and auto departments, as well as a furniture section, a drive-through garden center, and a bakery specifically equipped to make homemade corn tortilla chips. In addition, the store will carry a wide variety of Latino branded products. Wal-Mart currently operates approximately 7,250 stores throughout North America.
