Lowe's to Continue Canadian Expansion

Lowe's Cos. Canada ULC, a division of Mooresville, N.C.-based Lowe's Cos. Inc., announced plans to open three additional stores in Canada by the end of the fourth quarter of fiscal 2008. Stores are expected to open in Ontario in Belleville, Whitby and South Windsor, with additional sites in the pipeline. Lowe's opened its first three Canadian locations in December 2007, followed by four additional locations in February 2008. Each store provides 117,000 sq. ft. of retail sales space, with an adjacent garden center.
