Linens 'n Things to File Restructuring Plan
August 29, 2008
The New York Post reported that Clifton, N.J.-based home furnishings retailer Linens 'n Things Inc. may be filing a restructuring plan today, according to Reuters.com. Linens 'n Things, which was bought for $1.3 billion in 2005 by Apollo Management, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in May. The reorganization plan could call for closing as many as one-third of the stores the company operated prior to going bankrupt. Linens 'n Things hopes to emerge from bankruptcy in early 2009.
