K-Swiss Opens Pop-Up Store in California

Westlake Village, Calif.-based K-Swiss will open its first U.S. retail endeavor in the form of a branded pop-up store in Santa Monica, Calif., on March 14. The shop will be located on The Promenade in Santa Monica, and will remain there through April 3, before it heads to New York. K-Swiss will throw a pre-grand-opening party on March 13 to kick off the opening. The shop will offer K-Swiss tennis, training, running, and lifestyle apparel and footwear for men and women. In the pop-up store, consumers can see the new 2008 performance and lifestyle collections for men and women, which will be all on display in the store. "This is the perfect opportunity to tout our premium sport heritage and showcase our new head-to-toe brand message in our own environment," said Jennifer Weiderman, vice president of marketing for K-Swiss. "Santa Monica's bustling Promenade is the perfect spot to kick-off our pop-up store initiative. It's a perfect combination of athleticism and fashion. For a global brand like K-Swiss, this location speaks to our overall marketing position and hits our fast-paced customer right where they shop." Consumer events will take place over the course of the pop-up store tenure. These include in-store fashion shows, wardrobe consults and style tips, fitness demonstrations and listening parties.
