DSW to Open 30 Stores in 2008

Columbus, Ohio-based DSW Inc. announced the opening of a new store at the Plaza Imperial Valley in El Centro, Calif., on July 10, one of 30 new stores planned for 2008. The new 20,000-sq.-ft. store, which is the first DSW in the Yuma/El Centro area, is part of the company's recent expansion efforts. In 2007, DSW opened 37 stores in strategic markets. DSW also recently launched DSW.com. The El Centro location features hardwood floors, brick walls and accent walls marked with DSW signature phrases, modern fixtures, sleek merchandise displays and seating. As of July 6, DSW operated 271 stores in 37 states.
