Teen Vogue Haute Spot Store to Debut in New Jersey
November 04, 2008
The Teen Vogue Haute Spot pop-up store will be debut in the Mall at Short Hills in New Jersey this month, according to Nytimes.com. The temporary store, which will be open from Nov. 28-Dec. 26, will not sell merchandise. Rather, the concept will offer free snacks, informal modeling, a perfume bar, a makeup station, charging stations for cell phones and iPods, a gift-wrapping counter and racks of clothes. Additionally, stylists and attendants will advise shoppers on lipstick, shoes and outfits, and will lead them to stores in the mall where they can purchase the products. "We feel we've created a retail environment that doubled as a place where they could come together, be girls and shop together," said Laura McEwen, the publisher of Teen Vogue. "We're not actually selling products, because our goal is to encourage people to shop in the mall." Teen Vogue also has plans to open two pop-up stores in March and April to promote prom wear, as well as two stores focused on back-to-school items in August. The exact locations have not been disclosed.
