Brooks Brothers to Expand Black Fleece Nameplate
June 24, 2009
New York-based Brooks Brothers Inc. plans to open two Black Fleece stores and its first freestanding international unit this fall, according to WWD.com. The company will open a 1,600-sq.-ft. store in San Francisco by September. Due to the label’s strong performance in Japan, the company will also open a 925-sq.-ft. flagship boutique in Tokyo in late August. Black Fleece, whose line is designed by Thom Browne, made its New York debut in January.
